My personal hero
John Elway, Todd Helton, Joe Sakic these are all of your standard heroes in Denver and I'd be lying to you if I said that I didnt love each one of them. But recently i started to look back on my life realize that i haven't really reached the apex of any sports that I've played. After a couple hours of crying in the dark and watching Bruce Lee montages to build my self esteem back I decided that i needed to adjust my heroes to people that relate to me. I was a J.V. player and a varsity full time benchwarmer, inserted into practices to get dunked on by the allstars on varsity who could i possibly bond with and look up to WHO ???? And than it hit me Renaldo freaking Balkman. I love this guy not for whatever it is that he apparently does to stay on the team but for who he is. I swear to god i think i saw him eating popcorn on the sidelines during games. I think the best thing for us to do with him since were paying him is to have him update the fans via twitter on whats really going on during the game, give us the inside scoop on what was said during the timeout, the activities on the court etc. This sounds crazy but why not at least he would get to do something on game nights besides layup lines and sitting court side.
In all seriousness i do like the potential he looks like he has, when i see him in games for more than 3 minutes he brings a good level of energy, will grab some boards and it looks like his teammates love him. From one benchwarmer to another I feel your pain but i believe in you !!

Apparently Balkman doesn't "practice" well
which leads me to wonder….if Karl had no intention of playing him…why did the Nuggets re sign him this last off season?

Balkman deserves playing time
I don’t like George’s excuse, at all.

Not practicing hard is not an excuse
If you don’t work hard you don’t deserve to play. Balkman has yet to ever show he deserves to play. He had two, count them two decent games last year on the boards and that is it. He is right where he belongs.

Did you watch any Nugs games last year?
The dude was a monster in terms of the defensive effort he brought to the court. I remember a stretch of games where he started (or got a lot of minutes) and averaged something like 12, 12, 3, 2 and 1. Balkman is a good ball player, I just think George has something against him.

GK has to hate someone every season
This year I’m glad it’s the guy that won’t drop 40 points on a visiting team.

balkman had 1st crack at the rotation
balkman played for denver last season. when kmart was hurt the 6th game of the year at miami renaldo got the call. he started at atlanta. he has more experience in the system. he had more opportunity to work with steve hess and adrian dantley. balkman puts in the time and effort he would be on the court. right now on offense he is a hack a shaq waiting to happen. i wonder what it would have been like for him to go toe to toe with ron ron in LA last night.

My guess
is that with Balkman’s hair and Ron Ron’s temperment, we would have seen Laker fans collecting dread locks from the staples arena floor.
