Put me back in the ride the season out with Melo camp. As the game against Orlando showed, with the Nuggets missing their starting PG, PF and back-up center, they still clobbered one of the best in the East. Add a healthy CB, Kmart and Bird, this team has a legitimate shot at the NBA Finals. How often have the Nuggs made the NBA Finals in the last 35 years??? NEVER!! Rather than taking 10 cents on the dollar for Melo, let's go for a championship this year with him! If the Nuggs have a special playoff run, Melo would be very hard pressed not to sign an extension with the Nuggs. He can't risk taking a beating under the new CBA. If he takes less money to join the Knicks, so be it. Under the new CBA, the Nuggs would be well-positioned to build anew with lots of cap space, a great coach and a winning resume. Let's not tank this season because the NY media lusts to have a relevant team in NYC again.
