How about Chris Bosh???

Chris Bosh for Nene and J.R.

Star-divide

The Heat desperately need a big that can bang and a PG (or more accurately someone that doesn't suck so bad like Chalmers/ Arroyo that can be put in a PG position).

Let's face it, LeBron is the PG of the Heat. But if they want a secondary "PG", J.R. has a great vision and passing skills like a PG. He can penetrate and kick out, he does pick and roll with Nene (he's our best pick and roll passer on the team imo). He can make bounce/ straight pass. He can make pass off the dribble, he can draw more defenders and find open big men inside. I rarely see J.R. commit a TO passing the ball. Without bias, I can say with certainty that J.R.'s passing is so good that I would rate him as the best passer on the team, ahead of Ty, Melo, and Billups.

More importantly, J.R. can knock down outside shots.

C - Nene
PF - Udonis Haslem
SF - LeBron James
SG - Dwyane Wade
PG - J.R. Smith

---

For Nuggets, arrival of Chris Bosh is a win-win for Nuggets and Bosh. Bosh will definitely have a bigger role in Denver and can easily average 20 and 10... and for Nuggets, the arrival of Bosh gives them the strongest reason yet for Melo to stay.

C - Shelden Williams
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Carmelo Anthony
SG - Arron Afflalo
PG - Chauncey Billups

No more J.R.'s stories, no more Nene's 6 pts and 4 rebounds nights...

What do you guys think? I'm all for this trade.

No way are the heat trading

for JR to be their point guard.

You know what? I can already tell that I don't like you. And I'm probably not gonna like you no matter how many pull-ups or push-ups you do. All right, anybody who wants to pick on anybody in class, aim for him, 'cause I'm not watchin'

WHAT?

This trade flat-out SUCKS for the Nuggets. it would make the Heat the best team in the league for sure. Bosh = Harrington with a massive ego and a contract to go with it.

I cannot stress

how overrated I think Bosh is.

by love4nuggets on Nov 22, 2010 5:22 PM MST up reply actions

seriously?

give me a break. he’s still averaging 17 and 7 which is better than Nene has ever put up. And you would have to think he’ll increase his averages this year with D-wade hurt.

Miami wouldn’t do this cause it’s dumb. People are overreacting to Bosh.

But bringing in Bosh

only makes Denver’s size problem worse. Plus Bosh is going to be a very bad contract under the new CBA.

worse how

they are the same height and within 15lbs of each other. Nene is probably shorter than he’s listed. Bosh may very well be too, who knows. The point is they are the same height.

by skithebert on Nov 22, 2010 4:26 PM MST up reply actions

there is more

There is more to size than just numbers.

by nsink on Nov 22, 2010 5:10 PM MST up reply actions

agreed

nene is probably more physical. but it’s not like nene is dominating the paint or anything. i’d say its a wash in regards to “size”. Bosh is a more accomplished scorer and a better rebounder.

by skithebert on Nov 22, 2010 6:41 PM MST up reply actions

Worse

In that Bosh is 20 or 30 pounds lighter than Nene, and can’t play center. He also makes a lot more money than Nene and isn’t any better. Bosh got inflated numbers by being the best player on a bad team. Now that he’s got some better players around him, we see him for what he is, a modern version of Juwan Howard. Best player on a bad team who got vastly overpaid.

I think JR and Nene would be perfect for Miami, but I doubt they give up on Bosh this quickly...

Also, the trade would probably have to be Billups and Nene for Bosh and probably Joel Anthony…

Didn’t we cover this every single day during the offseason? I thought it stopped when he ALREADY WENT TO THE HEAT.

Would not trade for Bosh under any circumstances.

He’s soft and he’s a mope. If he can’t make it work in Miami with LBJ and Wade then he’s never going to amount to anything.

Beyond all that, there’s no way Miami trades him yet. They’ll give it at least one season before things are blown up.

Aside – the worse Miami does, the happier I am. Makes future collusion/super teams less of an option with each loss to a mediocre team.

Heat consider moving Bosh for ’Melo?

08:15 AM ET 12.02 | Needless to say, it would suffice as a blockbuster. As we close in on Dec. 15, when numerous free agents signed over the summer become trade-eligible, rival executives have privately started wondering if the Heat would consider parting with one of their Big Three if it meant fielding a more complete team. The face-saving option to trade and the most easily obtainable, executives say, would be Chris Bosh. In fact, one executive speaking on condition of anonymity wondered how it would alter Denver’s reluctance to trade Carmelo Anthony if the Heat offered a package centered around Bosh. The Nuggets, according to the executive, might prefer an established star in the low post as opposed to Derrick Favors, an unproven rookie.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
