JR Smith will NOT be traded
Chris Broussard: Denver will not trade J.R. Smith. No way, no how, according to sources. Again, Denver will not trade J.R
Ever since J.R. Smith sulked on the bench because of limited playing time (12 minutes) in Saturday's overtime victory over New Orleans, there's been speculation that Denver might trade him.
Well, you can put that speculation to rest. Plugged-in sources tell me the team definitely will not trade J.R. Smith before the Feb. 18 trade deadline.
Obviously, a ridiculously lopsided offer in their favor would change things, but I've been told emphatically that Smith is not going anywhere.

Even though Christopher isn't a center?
don’t get me wrong, i’d take him for a tpe
I would love that but...
Will it happen? Cant see them trading Wilcox for nothing. seems too good to be true..
Well
First off Detroit is loaded with bigs. Wallace, Wilcox, Villy, Maxiel, Brown and a may be missing a couple.
Second Detroit wants to dump as much salary as possible for 2010 ie why they wanna trade Prince. Wilcox for a TPE saves them 3 mil. Throw on a 2nd round pick for one of their scrubs who Denver cuts after the deal is completed and Detroit gains 3 mil in cap and a pic for a player who will have no use to them in the future, now now because they are in lottery contention. If Prince gets traded or one of their other bigs for nothing, this deal may not have a shot, but I can see it being a last second deal that goes down.

are you suggesting that JR will be the only reason we might lose?
Colorado Rockies 2009 - Best comeback in MLB history to win NL Wild Card
Troy Tulowitzki- MLB's BEST shortstop..nuff said
Brad Hawpe- The Original Rockies LASER arm
Dexter Fowler- Blinding speed, blinding smile, leaps Utleys in a single bound.
Yorvit Torrealba- Thanks for all the clutch in the playoffs!
Well, he certainly hasn't helped the last month
But he played great tonight. Hopefully he keeps it up.

It's good to see the Nuggets organization stand behind their guy
Under previous regimes he would have been traded and then gone on to blossom for another franchise. It’s good to see that the Nuggets are shedding that “doormat” to the league persona.
Now maybe JR can relax a little now that’s he’s go that vote of confidence from the front office.
