Weems still a Nugget?
According to Sonny Weems himself, he has not been traded. I asked him why he hadn't changed his background on twitter and he replied that he had not been traded. http://twitter.com/Sonny13/status/2924007275
I'm ok with this because I do believe that Sonny has potential, but at least Allen was a big body, albeit not a very athletic or coordinated big body, but still, we probably need the depth. What does Nuggets Nation think??

I hope so
I know Sonny is probably gone, but I will stand fast against this garbage trade until it becomes official. I saw him play with the 14ers last year, invested myself as a fan of our draft pick and won’t turn my back because of summer league. I was disappointed in how he played, don’t think he helped his chances of seeing any time behind JR and Afflalo. He’s still a talented Nugget, not deserving of being thrown to the dogs with the unwanted Sharpe. I will eat my words if he turns out to be nothing, but after endearing ourselves to stiffs like Julius Hodge and DerMarr Johnson throwing Sonny Weems in the trash before he got a chance to contribute is unfair.
Unfair?
Or else we just learned our lesson. After seeing Hodge and Johnson fail, why waste our time with someone else that is showing signs of going down the same path? For one, we already have JR and Afflalo and SG, and Anthony, Balkman, and (hopefully/probably) Klieza at SF. That leaves not much room for Weems. Secondly, he’s a poor shooter. Thirdly, he’s a poor rebounder. Fourth, he’s a ball hog. Fifth, it is easier to trade away Allen than Weems. So I certainly hope this trade went through!

Allen
Is it really all that much easier to trade away Allen? Weems is at the very least very athletic, and shows signs that he can score given the chance. Allen is old, slow, and doesn’t have any game besides of a mid-range jumper from what I heard. In those terms it sounds like Sonny is worth a bit more considering he’s only making 500K a year, thats very little money in nba terms.
