...ugh... 37 minutes...
until I can leave work…
I hope I can get there early to catch warmups!

It's not the Lakers I hate with every bone in my body, it's just the players and their fans.
Another Gasol Whiny Pic
Wow, bet that was hard to find. Who almost kilded him on that play?

Kenyon kilded him. With a skull-cracker.

I hope his face sticks that way someday. Isn’t that what mom’s tell us about making faces like that all of the time?

Great picture, Nate! (The Pau one, not the one with those two folks that require a Google search.)
Geez, I don’t know if I’ve actually recovered from the stress of game 1, yet. Well, anyway, go Nuggets!

I was extremely stressed by the last game
Nugs were sort of in control but never in the clear throughout. And then the end sucked, of course.

I actually thought they had won it with about 3 or 4 minutes (or perhaps it was longer) left in the game, but they just had to hang in there.
Teaches me for not going along with the “fat lady” rule.

Melo's put back that put 'em back up by 4?
I thought that was huge. Unfortunately, it was his last bucket of the game. Gotta keep feeding Melo, Nene and K-Mart inside tonight. They can and should absolutely destroy the Laker bigs.
MHH: Shagging Dater one contributor at a time.
by Bob in Boulder on May 21, 2009 5:32 PM MDT up reply actions
Yeah.
I agree. When Nene comes out seemingly angry with the ball, like he did last time, they should exploit that. Kenyon roughs them up on the defensive end, Nene on the offensive side, Birdman keeps them down with his energy, and Melo (I love the “Smilin’ Assassin” nickname, btw) smoothly shuts the door on them.
Bynum and Gasol are good, but overall, the Nugs have the players to handle them, and then some.

I’m not sure how Denver can come back after that game.. they had it locked up and they gave it away. I’m not sure how this team comes back from it mentally. Chauncey is the only one with a strong mind on the ball club

Yes I'm sure their spirit is totally crushed.
Expect them to just lay down on the floor and assume the fetal position. It’s amazing how you can equate a 2-point loss with a complete meltdown. I expect Pau felt the same way when a 6’6" guy on the Rockets pushed him around.

I'm pretty sure that in a year or so,
the truth will creep out of the woodwork, and there will be a situation similar to that of the Donaghy fiasco, and this game will come up.
Dahnte Jones with four fouls in the first 5:48? You gotta be shitting me.
I’m a Laker fan, who also really likes the Nuggets. So, I’m a little bit more biased towards the Lakers. However, even I can smell that something is up. Four ticktack fouls on Kobe’s defender.
I bet Stern is grinning in the corner of whatever room he is in right now, happily replaying the visuals of the refs blowing their whistles in his head.
He thinks nobody will catch on because its so early in the game.
Hahahaha
I’ll kill you, Stern. I’ll kill you.

Stern's got it rigged for Kobe V. LeBron
I wrote a short novela (sarcasm) a little above if you want to read my opinion on all this.
You can’t miss it, its an effin paragraph among short sentences.
By calling bitch fouls on Dahnte Jones, Melo will be forced to guard Kobe earlier than expected if the game gets close in the fourth quarter. That gives the Lakers a huge edge, since Melo has to waste his energy following Kobe around the floor.
Does Nene' still have arms after that no call on Bynum?

And NOT just because I’m Blazer fan. He is a genuinely nice guy. He is smart, and has done a lot with the Mentor program. Here’s when I decided I don’t care how he pans out. He was at a restauraunt and getting hounded by autograph seekers. He signed and signed. He finally asked the waiter to have the line dispurse. He saw a mentally challenged kid in a wheel chair in the back and he said, “wait, I’ll do one more for that kid there.” He signed and visited with him. Cleveland also lost last night
Because of Stern. Oh wait..
The officiating is always horrible to the losing team
How am I an asshole? I’m not calling people names..
I’m simply saying the Big League Conspiracy talk is getting annoying. It’s disrespectful to the players and coaches most of all. Discrediting all of the hard work they put in during the season and off season.
All fans do it. If the Lakers lose you can count on some Lakers fans crying about the refs as well.
I'm not an LA fan...
and while I wouldn’t call myself a diehard Nugget fan, I do want to see them win….but in any case I do somewhat agree with lalball here…the conspiracy theories do get a little overplayed. The officials alone aren’t deciding anything right now. Sure NBA officiating is wildly inconsistent and somewhat a joke at times but there are other reasons the Nuggets are facing this deficit right now.
Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
Melo off to the slow start

Hey ... he's our player man. You can't love him! Jokes.
So is Rudy Fernandez really like 23? Didn’t realize how young he was since he looks like a drunken 30 year old.

I guess he's 23.
That’s what I’m told. We think he looks like a rock star (which I guess is the drunken 30 yr old look). He attracts the ladies though.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

HIs defense is still suspect but he has more rebounds than the rest of the team. Not to mention hitting some timely 3s
Nuuugggsss Buckets! What's going on?
Kleiza was sort of gifted some of those rebounds, but I do appreciate him sticking around on the offensive boards!
Let’s face it guys … I for one thought LK was donzo. Props to him for playing well in that 2nd QTR.

Why does ESPN keep letting Magic do the halftime show?
Is it out of pity or what? I can’t decide who’s less articulate: Magic or Mark Jackson.

Ya ... I'll go do them! No homerism at all!

Man I miss the Altitude broadcast sooooo much
The ESPN announcers must have forgotten their Lakers jersey, with some of the most biased commentary I’ve heard in some time.
We might as well
Be listening to the Lakers’ local broadcast.
The 2009 Colorado Rockies: Expect the Unexpected
Altitude TV is of course biased to the Nuggets
But, they at least look at objectively at both teams. They call out fouls that the nuggets didn’t deserve. They give complements to both teams
I would take Bill Walton's senile ramblings at this point.

It's not as bad as the Dallas game on ESPN
That lady announcer was practically humping dirk’s leg verbally.
Hahaha I remember that!
She was jealous of Crystal Meth Taylor Nowitzki

They're not nearly as bad as the ESPN radio guys.
I listened to the first half driving home and they were horrendous. Not only incredibly obvious Lakers bias, but also the inability to utter a complete sentence at times.
Have one for me!
I have quit for a while (new diet).
