Magic defeat Cavs in Cleveland. Magic lead series 1-0

Did that seem very similar to another game to you guys? Perhaps the one our beloved Nuggets played just last night? Sloppy game, blown lead, but they almost pulled it out at the very end. But, they lost.

Fellow Denver Nuggets fans, I want you to do me a favor and pay attention to the talking heads of the mainstream media tomorrow and see what they say about the Cleveland Cavaliers. Today, I was watching Around the Horn and PTI as sports writers claimed that the Nuggets were done, the Lakers were going to win in 5, and so on and so on. Watch those shows tomorrow and see what those "experts"  say about the Cavaliers. Do you think the Cavaliers will be counted out and proclaimed dead in a game where they lost by one point? You're damn skippy that they won't.

The respect that the Nuggets do not get is pretty incredible and I can't wait until Denver beats the Lakers in 6 and proves all the nay-sayers wrong.

Write respectfully of your SB Nation community and yourself.

My favorite part:

Is that Denver lost a close game ON THE ROAD. They lost by 2 points when Vegas awards 3 for home court advantage.
The Cavs lost a close game AT HOME.

That said, I don’t think either team is done. I think the Nuggets have a great chance to “steal” tonight’s game and win out at home in game 6. I also think that the Cavs come out and win tomorrow, and take one in Orlando, forcing a game 7.

No worries, I’ve got my Nuggets undies on today and I’m heading to McDonald’s on my way home from work. Nuggets will take this game by double digits.

Hmm.............

I think you’ve got a better chance of downing double-digit Nugs at McD’s than the rich and creamy Nougats have of winning by double-d’s at the Downtown Hoop Dojo.

Wakka Wakka Wakka!!!!

Thanks folks, I’ll be here all week. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.

He’ll eat that Lakers in 4 prediction.

It's not the Lakers I hate with every bone in my body, it's just the players and their fans.

Whoever wins the West wins out.

You heard it here first.
Or maybe you heard it somewhere else first. I don’t care.

STIFF LIST (as of 1/30 by Jeff Morton)

1. THE ORLANDO MAGIC
After starting the season so well with the Dwight Howard trade drama (10-3) - the Magic have fallen apart (2-5 since) with embarrassing losses to the Celtics (twice), Hornets, and Pacers. Trade Dwight already!

2. CHAUNCEY BILLUPS' FLOP VS. NUGGETS
In the waning seconds of Sunday's game against the Clippers, Chauncey pulled off an acting performance so good it deserved an Academy Award. If he was still a Nugget we would love it, but he's not. STIFF!

3. JIMMER FREDETTE
Dude, if you are going to take the game-winning shot, at least draw some iron: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNO1goJOruQ

4. GEORGE KARL'S 4TH QUARTER AGAINST THE CLIPPERS
Getting out coached by Vinny Del Negro should be a nice wake-up call. Going away from Gallo. Leaving Al Harrington in. Using Rudy Fernandez at point guard. And going ultra small contributed to the Nuggets loss.

5. JEFF MORTON
For saying that the Nuggets would skimp on payroll and go cheap like the Avalanche. Clearly I was wrong and deserve to be on this Stiff List. I can only hope that the gods of basketball forgive me.
