WWE VS DENVER NUGGETS

PrintAs a basketball fan in houston, there isn't much coverage on this situation. What is the local media saying about this. Apparently neither the NBA or Vinny Mac are willing to back down. The Nuggs front office is taking a hit on ESPN for not having enough faith in their team to go long in the playoffs. They even had to sign a confirmation sheet on the last day of the season. This is not a troll post designed to get you all rilled up. I am just curious how the denver locals are taking it. (Vince even said he would set up and do the show in the parking lot if he had to). I think K-Mart and John Cena should have a steel cage match to decide.

My opinion is to honor the contract
It would be difficult to have both shows on the same day due to setup time in the WWE. Game 4 just might have to be played on Tuesday. I don’t see the NBA playing back to back games on saturday and sunday.
Pay off Vince ...
The WWE is just a stunt show and has no meaning at all. Or move the WWE to the Denver Colosseum.

I don't think you could have both events in the same day
There is a tremendouos amount of set up that goes into putting on a show like the WWE, I don’t see how you could have a show and a NBA game the same day. I think pay Vince McMahan and have him move the show to the colosseum or maybe move it to the Springs.

Yeah, you can't do it
They have that huge jumbotron thing they have to set up. It’s not like switching from hockey to basketball, where only some seats have to be moved..

I think you either honor the contract or buy it out.
I think the fault rests with the NBA and their schedule makers. Either that or it’s Houston’s fault for not beating the Lakers in game 7. Then we wouldn’t be having this problem.

Anyone catch David Stern before Game 1 saying, “It’s not an NBA and WWE problem. We’ve had the date saved since August.”
This is Kroenke’s problem and he’ll probably have to blow some good playoff revenue to make it go away.

I dont care what the WWE does. I think the lawyers for kroenke messed up by not putting a clause in the contract with mcmahon. regardless the NBA will trump the fakeness of wrestling 10 time out of 10

No respect for the WWE?
They do have the longest running show in TV history, as well as the highest rated cable show. That should be worth something. But, i agree, this is the NBA’s fault. Let’s get this thing solved.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
There was an article in Variety this morning about it...
I’d post it, but then I’d be fueling the whole stupid thing.
For Mr. WWE to think the Nuggs would change their schedule for them is silly.
I wish Kronke would drop a little steroid question into this whole thing… that’d divert attention real quick.
