The Nuggets needed to go find a legitimate starting point guard.

Within hours, the Pacers agreed to ship Tinsley, a draft pick and cash to Denver in return for veterans Chucky Atkins and Steven Hunter.

Rather than pull the trigger, however, the Nuggets instructed Warkentien to make a fresh call to Detroit, in hopes the possibility of a trade with Indiana might entice Dumars, long a fan of A.I.'s tenacity, to bite on an even bigger deal.

I wonder how Mr. McDyess is feeling about the world right now?

I think he might retire a Piston

Nothing against him for not wanting to play here, for whatever reason. He did come over to get the deal done.

It would have been nice to have him but I believe you’ve got to respect the man’s wishes

I like

How when Melo was first inquired by the Pistons and were told no, Melo was told by the front office he wasnt being shopped and he acted like a pro. Too bad that douche who wore #6 for the Broncos could not have been that professional.

somethings wrong, Trying to conquer these fears i thought were gone. And it's been so long, I'm dying to live in a world i don't belong

Funny how that works right ...

I talked about that on MHR back when McQuack and Mr. Not too much Sugar were “fighting”

Yup

Bowlen should have set up a meeting with Jay and McDaniels, then invite Chauncey and Melo to come straighten them out. Welp, water under the bridge at this point.

GO NUGGETS (and Broncos)

THE STIFF LIST (as of 3/8 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: K-MART'S LEFT KNEE
Best-case scenario, K-Mart misses another week or two with a sore knee.  Worst-case, he's done for the season with knee surgery.

STIFF #2: RON ARTEST
Nice hairdo.  'Nuff said.

STIFF #3: JOEL PRYZBILLA
The Blazers backup center re-injured his surgically repaired right knee after slipping in the shower.  Now we're just waiting for Greg Oden to slip on a banana peel.

STIFF #4: CAVALIERS FANS
Recently set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets - i.e. Snuggies.  Really?!  This is worthy of a world record?!

STIFF #5: BOSTON CELTICS
Losing to the pathetic Nets and almost losing to the Wizards is one thing.  But to do so at home within a week of each other...now that's an art.  I think it's safe to assume the Celtics are going nowhere in this year's playoffs.
