Denver Getting some ESPN Love

And for Nugz, Nugz, yes it is Man-Love!
But seriously, it is good to see some positive coverage by a national site. As opposed to the usual "Lakers give away game to useless Nuggets" headlines. He also says he thinks there is a good chance for them to get a decent center in a trade. No he doesn't mention the dream of Marc Gasol, but it's good to know it's not just us who think they need another big.

You would think that
Having brother Gasol on rival teams bound for a playoff clash would be a ratings success, and that Stern and his kronies would push for it and make it happen. Because let’s face it no is lining up to see the Lopez brothers go at it, unless one of them was just George Lopez in a wig on stilts. Sorry, it’s my lunch time imagination hour.

Yeah that would be too good
There would be so much parity in each team’s counterpart. But if our defense improves, and got back to the way it was last year, it would be the perfect underdog story. The tough, hard working, take no sh*t from nobody, never supposed to be there in the first place, small market Denver Nuggets against the fashionable, soft, bandwaggoning, everything handed to them on a silver platter, Goliath in the Lakers. Man, it would be like the Kings and Lakers from the early part of the decade all over again, except this time we would win!!! Too bad it doesn’t say anything about us going after Baby Gasol in that article.

Good link
Thanks for posting it.
Of course I think the guy is skipping over some significant stuff, like Chauncey’s uneven play so far this season, and the huge difference between the home record & the road record. But I suppose it’s understandable if he’s not following the Nuggets as closely as we are.
And yeah, it’s always fun to see the national media praising our team.

Hollinger
Last year he was one of the only national writers who wasn’t sleeping or outright hating on the Nuggets all season.
It was a decent write up, but a bit premature imo
We are still basically tied with Dallas for 2nd right now, and although I think we are better than them, each year is a new one and they are playing really good right now, so you have to acknowledge them. The best thing about that article, Hollinger, a guy who writes for the biggest sports broadcasting company in the world, mentioning that the Nuggets are looking for another big. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. It finally sounds like the front office is trying to put the final piece to the puzzle together, and they are letting the world (and the Lakers) know.
