Options...that actually make sense

Lately...a lot of stiffs have been posting stuff about Denver aquiring a big man by combining a trade exeption with Balkman or Allen or somethng like that.

ITS NOT HAPPENING. FOR THE LAST TIME...U CANT COMBINE TPE'S AND PLAYERS CONTRACTS.

I SUGGEST WE USE THE 3.2 MIL TPE ON: YI JIANLIAN, MARREESE SPEIGHTS, JASON THOMPSON OR MY LAST IDEA DJ MBENGA.

EVERYONE FORGET ABOUT GASOL ITS NOT HAPPENING. Oh YEAH...HOW ABOUT DEANDRE JORDAN?

Write respectfully of your SB Nation community and yourself.

You really think

the Lakers are willing to give up Mbenga? It’d be nice, but I really don’t think it’s going to happen.

1. He only averages 11 minutes per game, but he’s very efficent.
2. I don’ think they’d be willing to send him to another strong WC team contending for a championship that needs a big man to get across the hump. Just think if they traded him and he came back to haunt Gasol, Bynum, and Odom.

I’d love to see it happen, but I don’t see it happening

Why can't

you see us getting this guy. With the TE of Hunter or Atkins we wouldn’t have to let anyone go.
The Lakers are way over the cap.
With Kmart out this would be a terrific fit Nene could go back to the 4.

i remember ppl on this blog mentioning getting camby back at the trade deadline

so i thought if Eddy Curry is healthy by then, wouldn’t he be a better option for us. he’s actually a reliable post scorer n his contract’s practically the same as camby’s
although i know he’s not known to play defense or even rebound
but just throwin it out there…

curry's major negitives

his contract is huge and runs 2 more seasons. denver could get gortat for half the money. curry was traded from chicago to the knicks because of a heart condition. he is over weight and prone to injury. now put him at a mile high altitude and there is a chance he could die.

he looks like he’s in MUCH better shape now

n the trade machine says he only has 1 year left on his contract. don’t know how reliable of a source that is. but if that’s the case, it could be a safe gamble

THE STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: THE FUTURE OF THE NBPA
If the NBA owners opening proposal for the new collective bargaining agreement is any indication, we're heading for a lockout in 2011 and after that, smaller contracts, smaller salaries and less revenue shared with the players.

STIFF #2: THE CLIPPERS
After correctly kicking Mike Dunleavy upstairs and rightly installing Kim Hughes as head coach, why are rumors of Isiah Thomas joining the Clips circling around already?

STIFF #3: THE EASTERN CONFERENCE
Rumors of the re-birth of the Eastern Conference have been greatly exaggerated.  Yes, the Cavaliers are awesome but the sixth playoff seed might be sub-.500.  And do you think any of the West's top six teams fear the Celtics, Magic or Hawks?  No chance.

STIFF #4: ANKLE INJURIES
First Carmelo Anthony.  Then Chauncey Billups. And now possibly Arron Afflalo?  Tape those ankles up, dammit!

STIFF #5: NEW JERSEY NETS
4-46 and losers to the lowly Pistons on Saturday night.  But Lawrence Frank was the problem, right?
