How about Getting Ai. Hear me out first
The Memphis Grizzlies can't decide what they want to do with Ai. Wether to keep him and hope things work out or wether to wavie him. Well it just so happens the Nuggets have two trade Exceptions each worth a little more then 3 million. Atkins one is worth about 3.3 million and Ai contract is 3 million. I think Ai would be happy coming back to the Nuggets. Ai would start and Jr. would come of the bench. This could be our starting lineup.
PG. Billups
SG. Iverson
SF. Anthony
PF. Martin
C. Nene
and this could be our 2nd unit
PG. Lawson
SG. Affalo
SF. Smith
PF. Balkman
C. Andersan

I think...
that The Cancer would poison this team….and that your second unit is wrong because Karl would probably have Chauncey on it so A.C. could start…
I doubt Chauncey would ever even pass AI the ball

Yes, because bringing him in worked out SO well the first time.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

been there done that
no doubt memphis would do the deal just to save money. denver would have to pay 6 million because of the cap and tax. nugs do not have a need at any position ai can play. denver has a huge need for a 7 foot big man. with ai denver was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. without ai denver went to the western conference finals.

AI on the Second Team
If AI could ever overcome his ego and accept a scorer off the bench role, playing about 20 minutes with the second unit…I’m for it….but he will never do it, even if could potentially mean a championship run for him. His ego is just too big.
Also, assuming this means JR in the starting five as the SG, the second unit is tiny…but really fast.
Also…someone made this point…it wold mean AC sits…and GK is just not having this.

If AI couldn't crack the starting lineup in a shitass Grizzlies rotation
Do you really want to start him over Chancey, J.R, or even AA? I don’t want him on the team. On a side note, if the Grizzlies are willing to give us Marc Gasol and AI, I’d take it…

Think of the second team
PG- Lawson
SG- Iverson
SF- Afflalo
PF- Balkman
C- Bird
Lawson and Iverson in the back court would cause huge matchup problems. Lawson’s quick enough to guard other PG’s in the league, but he lacks size to guard SG’s. Iverson isn’t quick enough to guard PG’s anymore, and he’s way undersized to guard a SG like Kobe, Ginobli, Jefferson, and others.
This wouldn’t work

If we didnt have Lawson...
…I’d be down for AI.

I still think
A.I. could still put up 20 points per night, but do we really need that? We’re tied in 3rd place with Toronto for scoring this season (109 ppg), and we’ve played 6 games on the road. That’s pretty good. AI’s scoring isn’t needed especially since Earl is back. The numbers are only going up. AI isn’t needed.
