Carmelo On The Stiff List/ Trade Carmelo

Until he stops being a ball hog. I mean seriously what a pathetic performance by melo in these two games. Sure he scores 30 pts but he gets the ball AND THE BALL NEVER LEAVES HIS HANDS.

7-21 enough said

If he keeps playing like this trade him for a big.

I am thinking we should do Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, AI for Carmelo. We would be so stacked.

Starting 5

Chauncey - PG

AI - SG

Rudy Gay- SF

NENE - PF

GASOL - C

Really? are you guys serious?

c’mon we are 5-2. Thats bloody good considering we don’t have J.R and K-mart at the moment. Yet you guys are talking like we havn’t won a single game. trade carmelo?? THATS JUST STUPID. have some faith in your Denver Nuggets! instead of turning on them as soon as they lose. Support the team win or lose!
We are still one of the best teams in the NBA. At the end of the season we will be in a position to have a shot at the title.
We lost two games on a back to back, both away on a road trip.
Have faith….GO NUGGETS!! I beleive in you!!

Bad post

Look we started this road trip at Indiana and at New Jersey, both teams that are not good. There were signs then that the team was starting slow and there was not a lot of continuity or rhythm in the lineups, even before that the defense was shaky. Now you run into better competition and point the finger at Melo at CB for the losing effort. The whole team lost, the same problems are plaguing their play and the defense just fell apart without Kenyon. A little adjustment for everyone to get back on the same page and winning approach that works, we’ll be fine. Melo didn’t get worse in 2 games dude.

this guy is retarded

without melo we’d b like 2-5

also hes our best player…. and potential mvp

by hvino on Nov 8, 2009 9:58 AM MST reply actions   0 recs

Melo’s number 1 on the mvp watch on nba.com right now. Granted it’s like the 2nd week of the season, but still, he’s ahead of kobe and bron bron. but apparently we should trade him.

Mellllllllllllloooooooooo

I think was trying to carry the team on his back. Trying to take that leadership position.
However when you have a Jerk in charge with his head up his ass and using an inferior rotation. Then you get what you got.
On numerous occasions I have emphasized that AC not making his shots was going to haunt us. He is the reason for us loosing. The Nuggets are at a sever disadvantage when he’s on the floor. Like others have noticed we play 4 on 5. This love thang has to cease and desist
Why is Melo going to trust anyone other than himself to make the shot when all you get is clanks.
If AA had started the games at the 2 I believe things would have been different for Melo and the Nuggets.
The Dipshit of a Coach needs to rethink his ways and utilize the talent we have more productively

Relax, it will be fine

Would you traded Alex English since he shot the ball pretty much 100% of the time when he had it. I agree the offense needs to have some other guys step up to take pressure of Melo, but I don’t blame him for trying to carry the team.

"Me fail english, that unpossible" - Ralph Wiggum
"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem" - Duffman
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun" - Ash from Army of Darkness
"H.I., you're young and you got your health, what you want with a job?" - Evelle from Raising Arizona
"It happens sometimes. People just explode. Natural causes." - Agent Rogersz from Repoman

Also I gate that trade, AI is he worst ball hog that plays no defense

And Rudy Gay does nothing for this team.

I would trade Melo, for the right price

If, say for example Memphis offered us Gasol, Gay and Warrick for Melo, I would totally do it. Melo, the last 2 games, lost them for us. 30 ppg doesn’t mean jack s$%t if you are a total ball hog and disrupt the entire scheme of the offense. I want to keep defending Melo, but the point it, he just doesn’t get it. He doesn’t get it at all. It’s like he has been playing ball for only a few years the way he is playing the game lately. It’s just drive into the lane and try and make a amazing basket every time instead of looking for his teamates to help him out. I don’t want to trade Melo, but if he doesn’t start realizing it’s not all about him and his mission to lead the league in scoring, I wouldn’t be apposed to “Big Bertha” making a return.

warrick

plays for the bucks

by nohoops4u on Nov 8, 2009 9:32 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah it’s always a good idea to trade a 25 year old recognized by just about everyone as the purest scorer in the game and furthermore, is extremely loyal to the franchise. I see that ending really well. You guys bitch and moan about wanting to win the championship but then you want to trade the best player on the team for a second year man who I admit is good, but he’s also good on a very bad team and hasn’t proven to be a consistent force yet, another guy (Gay) who is a far inferior Melo Wannabe and a guy (Warrick) that doesn’t even play for Memphis anymore!

that’s really good thinking.

if you don’t want melo to be a ball hog, provide him with people that will make shots. The last 2 games, particularly the Heat game, were not good shooting nights for the rest of the team. Stop scapegoating and wake up.

Oh as i was writing this did you guys see that Lebron James got traded to the Spurs for DeJuan Blair and George Hill? God I bet he wishes he wouldn’t have lost to the Bulls last week and then all the fans started bitching which convinced the GM to trade him.

This trade can't happen

Just put it into the ESPN.com NBA Trade Machine, and it’s not a legal trade under the CBA.

The Colorado Rockies aren't a team, they're an armada.

Pretty retarded post

Maybe get after Melo a little for his awful play the last couple games but don’t throw him away. Don’t say you want to trade the franchise player. This is an awful post.

THE STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: THE FUTURE OF THE NBPA
If the NBA owners opening proposal for the new collective bargaining agreement is any indication, we're heading for a lockout in 2011 and after that, smaller contracts, smaller salaries and less revenue shared with the players.

STIFF #2: THE CLIPPERS
After correctly kicking Mike Dunleavy upstairs and rightly installing Kim Hughes as head coach, why are rumors of Isiah Thomas joining the Clips circling around already?

STIFF #3: THE EASTERN CONFERENCE
Rumors of the re-birth of the Eastern Conference have been greatly exaggerated.  Yes, the Cavaliers are awesome but the sixth playoff seed might be sub-.500.  And do you think any of the West's top six teams fear the Celtics, Magic or Hawks?  No chance.

STIFF #4: ANKLE INJURIES
First Carmelo Anthony.  Then Chauncey Billups. And now possibly Arron Afflalo?  Tape those ankles up, dammit!

STIFF #5: NEW JERSEY NETS
4-46 and losers to the lowly Pistons on Saturday night.  But Lawrence Frank was the problem, right?
