Friday the 13th
Nuggets lose two in a row and neither game was close. Out-coached, out-played, out-classed. Regardless, if you had told me before the beginning of the season that we would be 5-2 at this time, I would have been pleased. Here's the trick though: we need to be 7-2 going into our Friday the 13th match-up against the dreaded (and very well rested) Lakers. We don't need to be 7-2 because that would make losing that game a little easier to swallow, we need to be 7-2 because - in sports and in life - winning or losing are more habit than anything else. The difference between waking up on Saturday morning the 14th 5-5 versus waking up 8-2 is tantamount to the beginning or the end of our season. We need to beat the Bulls and the Bucks. If we don't, we don't have a chance on Friday the 13th. Not a chance.

big picture
the bulls game is on tuesday. denver has time to regroup and get at least one practice in. the 2 losses could be a blessing in disguise for 2 reasons. 1st- jr starting the next game becomes a very easy decision to make. 2nd- nothing like getting your nose rubbed in it twice in a row does wonders for focus and motivation.
pick up a calf every day pretty soon you will be picking up a cow
JR starting????????????
I’m Swish’s BIGGGest fan and GK will start AC. He has already said JR will NOT start. Sorry

kmart is hurt
that changes everything. there is the matter of a 2 game losing streak, back to back games and the lakers after that. if there was ever a reason to change your mind this is it.

Rest is key
4 games in 5 nights dude, yes they were winnable but to lose two is understandable. Getting blown out is another story and should leave some motivation for everyone to get fired up and back to winning. Keep in mind, we got another weapon weapon coming into the mix. Couple that with the news that Kenyon just has a bruise and is day to day, we should be upbeat and have eneough time to get back to full strength even without Kenyon.
Wow, I've never heard it
Put that way before. What a great point you make Big Mick…I agree with the other posters as well and as Andrew stated in his schedule post earlier this year we got dealt a pretty shitty hand to start the beginning of the season. The last few games have been possibilities of making a statement to the rest of the league, but now the next two are statement games for ourselves. We gotta dig deep and start playing the way we left it off last year. Passing the ball, playing physical (Nene) and regaining that “us against the world” swagger that made us a bad ass team. And although it’ll be awesome to get him back, JR isn’t the answer. We already have the answer and its the 13 guys wearing powder blue and gold taking the court every night. It’s in them. They just need to let it out.
GO NUGGETS!
