Its Coach Karl fault that we lost
I know what you guys are thinking, How is this Karl's fault. Well because when Denver cut the lead to 12 he should have put Melo or Billups in the game, 3:30 were left enough time for melo to get to work. I also think the refs had a lot to do with this lost. Making bad calls all game long. Another thing AC should quit taking shooting the ball, he is only good for defense. What are your guys thought on tonight's game.

AC is hurting the team on both offense and defense
Lawson is much better on offense, perhaps a tad better on defense, and is proving somewhat reliable already.
Could we see Carter in the doghouse?
How many nights like this from Carter do we need to see before GK gets his head straight?

the refs were just horrible. the balkman charge after his steal was sick. But i can’t say this is anything new we rarely get on the right side of the whistel. and i’m sorry i really hate “AC is only good for defense”, he is defensive liability. there is no room for him at PG anymore so karl is making room for him at SG where has to defend faster stronger taller guards.
But i do agree with you we could have had CB in or Melo ( i also think CB was hurting i saw him getting ice on his ankle) but i have to admit i enjoyed karl rewarding the backups for getting us down from 28 behind to with in 10 points.
Honestly i just can see him not starting afflalo when jr comes back.
Who’s looking for to AC guarding joe johnson next game?

Karl was not "rewarding" the backups with those minutes.
He knows that we play tomorrow night and threw in the towel.

Re: the refs
I’ll agree that they called a terrible game. On one side they’d call touch fouls and send Wade to the line. On the other end, Afflalo/Melo/Lawson/CB/Nene would be pushed, bodied, or hacked and no whistle.
That said, the refs don’t cause you to shoot 2 of 13 from beyond the arc.
The Nuggets (especially Melo) never adjusted to the whistle. Melo tried to force the refs to blow the whistle, which usually only results in frustration for Nuggets fans. It’s times like those when Melo needs to continue being aggressive, but worry more about putting the damn ball in the hoop then whether or not the whistle blows. Same could be said about Nene all the time.

I think GK was right to sit Melo and CB in the 4th.
They were ineffective all game. Chauncey almost had more turnovers than points. But I agree with you that this loss sits on GK. I know you can’t judge everything by +/- (Birdman’s +17 proof of that) but Lawson was killer at +18 and Afflalo at +12. And they played with energy and pride. I know that Karl is experimenting with different lineups while JR is out (and most assuredly will continue with JR back) but he had some ass-backward line-ups out there that totally threw the Nuggs out of their offensive rhythm.
Lawson has outplayed not only AC, but even Chauncey in the last two games, and the only shooting guard the Nuggets have (until JR comes back is Afflalo).

Ignorance and arrogance
What more evidence does GK need to acknowledge that ANTHONY CARTER is ineffective and done. Stick a fork in the sob.
Even though you are 5-0 you play the opposition to win. Screw the dumbshit that I’m not going to change anything because I’m 5-0. Is that ignorance or arrogance?
You would think with 900 games plus that pulling an obsolete player who is overrated on his offense and defense would be a no brainner. Not with GK. Is this ignorance or arrogance?
I don’t expect the Nuggets to win all 82 games however it is the way you loose. The bench outscored the Heat in the fourth qtr. What would have happened if those players were properly inserted into a rotation early on? Could it be that because there was no flow in the offense early that CB1 was less effective?
This was a bogus loss and totally unacceptable.
GK needs to get his head out of his ass and get real and realize that AC has no business in the game. Even though we are without JR.

GK overplayed Yakhouba Diawara
HE was as bad as AC…and he (his team) beat us yesteraday…

We Lost as a Team
We are all here blaming Coach Karl for the lose tonight. Karl is not the one on the floor. He cant make the players hit there shots or not commit turnovers. I agree Karl stuffed up the rotation and AC should NOT be starting. that is his bad, and definetly one of the reasons that we lost. He needs to be playing ’Naldo, and TY more. Afflalo should be starting over AC. Everyone knows that.
But to say that we lost the game because of karl alone is not true..it also comes down to the players to do there thing. Chauncey didn’t play at all his best. K-Mart’s injury just added to the frustration of it all. Birdman wasn’t his beastly self. We turned the ball over way to much and got killed on the rebounds. there was no energy
Overall we lost this one as a team…

Answer this question
Lets say the Nuggets went on to win the NBA championship.
Who is the FIRST one they are going to interview and say "Well George Karl how does it feel to win "YOUR " first NBA championship?
It took you 900 plus games but you finally got one
WHY??? Why should he get any hoop la?He didn’t shoot one shot or stop one man from scoring, RIGHT?But you know he would get credit for winning.
So take that argument that he wasn’t on the floor and……. well you get my drift
Who is in charge of the screwed up insertion of an ill advise rotation?

There's no excuse for it
Think about it, starting AC as a shooting guard who can’t shoot produced slow starts 5 times out of 6. Chauncey is an unselfish scorer, Nene has not been aggressive offensively, and Kenyon can’t shoot either. Melo came out firing on all cylinders, and George Karl’s “defensive” starting lineup barely managed to keep up with the Heat. At least they didn’t fall behind right away. Ty and AA are clearly getting more comfortable and doing all they can to be aggressive and active when they get to play. Unfortunately, it’s usually after the starting lineup has surrendered a lead or fallen behind. AC produces very little outside of garbage time and continues to get 20 minutes no matter how he plays. Tonight, they were down by 30 and didn’t have enough time to get it closer than 8.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. The Nuggets are being set up for failure and overcoming it with talent.

AC starting
Every game AC starts puts in a 4 on 5 situation on the offensive end. K-Mart can be compensated for on the offensive end b/c of his put backs and he continues to move w/o the ball. AC just stands there or dribbles too much. We can’t just give the ball to Melo and stand by.

AA should really be rewarded by karl for his play
i think aflallo gives the most balance to the lineup then have ty come of the bench b a spark plug, the best part about it is when JR comes back well have great scoring off the bench either from AA or JR along with Ty

to be or not to be
should jr come off the bench or start? the best way to answer that question is look at last season. smith came off the bench and averaged 15ppg. kleiza’s stats were 9.9 ppg and 4.1 rebounds. that is about 25 points per game from 2 players off the bench. the past 3 games afflalo had 15, 15 and 18 points. his season average is 9.7 ppg. afflalo starting makes him the 4th or 5th scoring option. off the bench he is the 1st or 2nd option. it is very important for 2 reasons that afflalo comes off the bench. can somebody make up jr’s 15ppg AND if not does big bertha come into play for a scoring swing man off the bench or a 7 foot big man. ty lawson’s season scoring average is 11.7. combine afflalo and lawson averages and you have 21.4 ppg towards a possibble 25 points off the bench from last season. they are both improving every game. in the long run denver is better off determining sooner rather than later if they have players on the bench that can take up the slack from last season. smith in the staring line up prevents melo from being double teamed and he can do a lot of the grunt work for billups.

JR should start
The way Denver runs offense is obviously going through Melo and attacking the paint aggressively trying to get to the line. With the 2PG starting lineup Chauncey has played off the ball more with AC bringing it up and him spotting up more and looking for his shot early. Teams clogging the lane trying to seal off Melo has led us into a total 1-on-1 offense and bad shots. When those shots don’t fall and we don’t get the whistle then Denver is usually going to lose the rebounding battle against anyone. JR’s going to create space with his shot and draw doubles off Melo, the other thing is he rebounds pretty well for a guard, averaging 4 or so in limited minutes last year, obviously we need rebounding help in the starting unit.
AA should have been starting already, but it’s a moot point. He’s good in the small lineup with Ty and he’s playing well with CB, so if you want to go small with him and the CB-Ty backcourt it seems like a good choice backing up Melo. The problem is he’s playe din weird lineups all season, and it;s not fair for him to come in when we’re losing by 30 and try to crank up the defense while trying to score and cut into a big lead. He’s produced anyway, and should earn the role he deserves in good time.

Possibly the worst game manager in the NBA
Seriously. I watched Spolstra last night absolutely demolish GK in terms of game management and he has won what, 900 or so less games than Karl. Wtf is Karl thinking with some of the stuff he does? AC has no business even being in the game and yet he starts at SG. Am I fu%#ig going crazy here? Somebody tell me, because I feel like you have to be utterly blind not to see that AC doesn’t belong in the game right now. It’s not AC’s fault, I don’t want to harp on him, it’s Karl’s. But the loss last night was because of Karl and Melo. Melo’s selfish playing style really bugs the crap out of me and I bet it does his teamates as well. His style of play finally rubbed off on the team enough last night that it cost us the game. I hope this isn’t a reoccuring instance becuase that is something we don’t need right now with the amount of talent we have on our team. Wade was the aboulte contrast of what Melo was last night and that’s why I wear his jersey more often that I do Melo’s and I am a freakin Denver fan for Christ’s sake.
