ESPN deserving of Stiff List again
Reader Artimus Mangilord sent me an email last night of the Suns vs. Magic preview story on ESPN from the game last night (Magic won 122-100). He pointed out the following excerpt:
After finishing ninth in the Western Conference last season and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2004, Phoenix is one of three remaining undefeated teams in the league in 2009-10. The others -- Boston and the Los Angeles Lakers -- are the last two NBA champions.
Notice anything wrong there?
I'll point it out again ...
Phoenix is one of three remaining undefeated teams in the league in 2009-10. The others -- Boston and the Los Angeles Lakers
Last I checked the Lakers lost on October 30th to the Dallas Mavericks 94-80 and currently have record of 4-1.
Since Phoenix lost last night there are now only two undefeated teams in the NBA ... the Boston Celtics and YOUR Denver Nuggets.
I guess even with editors things like FACTS can fall through the cracks ...

ESPN Writers
are all fans of the Lakers. They just assume that 5 games in they will be 5-0 without even looking at the standings or previous scores. It’s like last year, ESPN basically tried to script a Kobe vs. Lebron championship. It’s just stupid which is why I don’t visit that site much anymore.
This year since Melo is lighting it up they will probably try to pull some Melo vs. Lebron finals BS.
I just get annoyed with all the Laker, Yankee and Patriot praise that ESPN throws out.
With the Yankees winning
ESPN is going to be unwatchable (I mean, even more than it already is) for at least the next month.
Swats.
lol, thats awesome
I hate the Lakers

The Lakers are that good
Even when they lose a game it still counts as a win. I love to watch them struggle while Gasol is out. I cant wait until they take that trip to the Can and we kick the shit outta them for some revenge.
that disgusting
it rly makes me mad… espn is all about lakers and lebron
like theyll talk about melo and always find away to include lebron
Maybe ESPN has an affair with LALAland
They even had the guts to ask Melo about Lebron. Sheesh,.

To be fair
espn outsources those game previews to “Stats LLC” and the game recaps to AP
it doesn’t excuse the error but it spreads out the blame a little
The men who....
blow goats. That should be Espn’s new motto.
People who don’t care don’t respond, and people who do care do respond. Does that make sense Bronco fans trying to validate the trade?
