Lawson Vs. Carter Part 5

STARTERS MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
Anthony Carter, PG 23 3-6 0-1 0-0 1 3 4 3 0 0 1 1 +14 6
Ty Lawson, PG 28 9-10 3-3 2-2 0 4 4 2 1 0 1 1 +15 23

I think the stats say enough for this one. This will be my last comparison post. Both had about the same minutes, and Lawson obviously outplayed Carter. People say that Carter is brought in to bring offensive production and energy, well it looks like Carter's days of doing that are over, and the rookie has taken his place. Its apparent after the last five games that Lawson is much better than AC. AC thank you for everything you've done in Denver (especially those 2 turnovers in the playoffs last year that cost us the series) but your days are done. Ty Lawson has taken your spot.

played 25 minutes. the priorities are nugs win AND keep cb;s playing time under 30 minutes. ty will need to improve his assists by mastering the half court offense and distributing the ball. the point guard position over all is the strongest on the team.

pick up a calf every day pretty soon you will be picking up a cow

Boooo...

Assists are overrated. CB average less assists than Iverson for his career and I dont think its a question who gets his teammates better involved with the offense.

Just like last year at UNC…Ty WAS the tarheels although his assists werent breathtaking.

Your man crush with AC is obvious also

The pg position isn’t the strongest on the team with your Man being part of it.
Are you blind? That’s not meant to be cruel. But you have to be in order not to see that AC is a bum at playing basketball.
Good money was spent to keep GK’s biotch.
AC should be playing in that old folks league that you want to be part of. Nothing against old folks either

AC's line from last night is actually pretty good

But I still think he’s a defensive liability when starting. Even so, I’ll give him some props for not being his typical turnover producing self.

Miami is a better team than those we’ve faced so far. If AC starts friday, the Nugs can plan on digging themselves out of another first quarter hole, as Wade and Chalmers will make mincemeat of him. AA would be a better choice to start the two spot, not AC.

There has got to be a way to keep CB from playing Steve Nash like minutes yet not expose ourselves defensively.

I can’t wait for JR’s return. Even then, I don’t see Karl suddenly making AC third in the depth chart at the point, despite the fact that he is greatly outclassed by Ty.

I've been screaming for Afflalo to start

And hopefully with his great showing in the last two games he’ll get the chance tomorrow.

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
