Some interesting quotes from some other teams bloggers...

Just some quotes from when I sent out some questions during ESPN's Daily Dime Live to bloggers

Jeremy, what's going to happen when AC comes back? I'm a bit worried.

Jeremy (Roundball Mining Co./TrueHoop Network):
Chad, I think Carter is pretty much out of the rotation.  He should only get some courtesy minutes in the second quarter or garbage time.

Jeremy, question for the future, does Lawson replace Billups before or after Chauncey's contract expires/he retires?

Jeremy (Roundball Mining Co./TrueHoop Network):
Chad, I think Billups starts through the end of his current contract, he has a player option for 2012, but Lawson will be playing a lot of minutes.  It will be interesting to see if Chauncey signs another contract after that though.

Dan, coming from a Nuggets fan, do you think any of your Pistons bigs can be had? (Wilcox, Maxiell)

Dan Feldman (PistonPowered/TrueHoop Network):
Chad, probably Maxiell more than Wilcox. Wilcox can play center, which Detroit needs. And Maxiell has a longer contract.

Zarar, coming from a Nuggets fan, any possibility that some of your bigs can be had?

Zarar Siddiqi (Raptors Republic/TrueHoop Network):
Everybody's on the table for the Raptors.   Colangelo will insist that Bargnani is not, but it's year #4 for him now and if he was a clearly special player he would've shown it by now.   I'd say the only untouchable is............can't really think of anyone other than Bosh, but if the team struggles mightily, then you know he's going to be part of a discussion.   Too early though, this is a very tough stretch for the Raptors and things will get easier for them schedule-wise starting next week.

Maybe you guys knew most of this already, but just thought I'd post it.

I would love Bargnani – put him at the three point line and melo or nene on the block and it’s a field day. KMart’s improved his jump shot but it’s nothing close to Andrea’s.

Another big that might be a possibility is Andray Blatche or Javale Mcgee – I think the Wiz would move one of these younger guys before they would move Haywood.

THE STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: THE FUTURE OF THE NBPA
If the NBA owners opening proposal for the new collective bargaining agreement is any indication, we're heading for a lockout in 2011 and after that, smaller contracts, smaller salaries and less revenue shared with the players.

STIFF #2: THE CLIPPERS
After correctly kicking Mike Dunleavy upstairs and rightly installing Kim Hughes as head coach, why are rumors of Isiah Thomas joining the Clips circling around already?

STIFF #3: THE EASTERN CONFERENCE
Rumors of the re-birth of the Eastern Conference have been greatly exaggerated.  Yes, the Cavaliers are awesome but the sixth playoff seed might be sub-.500.  And do you think any of the West's top six teams fear the Celtics, Magic or Hawks?  No chance.

STIFF #4: ANKLE INJURIES
First Carmelo Anthony.  Then Chauncey Billups. And now possibly Arron Afflalo?  Tape those ankles up, dammit!

STIFF #5: NEW JERSEY NETS
4-46 and losers to the lowly Pistons on Saturday night.  But Lawrence Frank was the problem, right?
