Birdman's Tendinitis
In watching the game last night on ESPN, the announcer indicated that Birdman has been dealing with tendinitis in the knees the early part of this season. I have not read anything in the Post about this, but it explains Bird's lack of hops and "energy" so far this season. I admire him for gutting it out, but when your knees ache, basketable becomes a lot less fun. Any concern here that Bird is dealing with tendinitis this early in the season? Does this bode well of the 5 year deal the Nuggs gave him???
PS - - I think Chauncey is dealing with some sort of nagging something too. He just doesn't seem quite as lively as he did last year. Good thing we have Lawson to push the pace...

11 rebounds in 24 minutes
6 on the offensive end. it is a matter of fundamentals vs. instincts. blocking a shot into the stands may excite the fans but the ball still goes to the other team. billups has a bad ankle. ac has a hip problem. this is the same injury he had last season that caused him to miss 4 games. earl being suspended forced ac and chauncey to play hurt. kmart missing 2 games forced andersen to play more than normal. denver has 4 days off after a very intense and rough start.

Good Points
All good points about the brutal schedule and nagging injuries. Tendinitis becomes a bigger issue if it is related to arthritis of the knees. I love Bird and appreciate his attitude, but he seemed grounded during preseason too. My concern is the Nuggs are on the small side anyway, so they really need someone like Bird that can protect the rim. Opponents big men – - Gasol, Bogut, Bynam – - have hurt the Nuggs inside early in the season I guess it goes back to the point I think we all agree on – - the Nuggs need a 4th Big Man who can play to make a run at the Championship.

when foster comes back from the injury we should just get him
like i doubt we can get out from the luxury tax, and i dont c indiana using him much, they prob would give him up for like allen, AC and a pick (they actually were interested in signing AC and kleiza if jones didnt sign)

Kelenna Azubuike
He’s a SF and injured, but he’ll be totally beastly when he comes back.
Pops is waived. GET HIM!

Basketable is a fun sport, right?
Only reason why Bird is playing is so that Petro doesn’t play…
