Keith Brumbaugh waived by Nuggets

 http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/nugs_waive_brumbaugh_100509.html

Direct from the Nuggets nba.com page

Pretty disappointed, after all our hopes of him on this blog. I think everyone's with me in thinking he did not really get a chance to show what he can do.

Didn't see much footage of him in either training camp or preseason so he is still low profile and hopefully he gets another shot with the Nuggets.

Write respectfully of your SB Nation community and yourself.

oh well

at least wally was not signed. this gives kb a chance to go to europe or catch on with another nba team. cleveland may have to take another guard instead of rob kurz because of delonte west’s issues. a stretch forward (new term being used for a forward with 3 point range) can still be aquired by denver.

jeez

Either he just totally sucked, is a moron in person, or both. I never saw any footage of him playing and there has to be a reason for it…. oh well you can’t win them all…. and Keith Brumbaugh can’t win ANY of them.

ummm...training camp.

I saw the whole thing and from what I saw from the kid…he looked like trash. Granted that was only in the drills they showed on camp, he still looked horrible.

I think it is funny

There have been a lot of people talking about this guy like he is relevant. He sucks!

yeah the people who made the decision to cut him would have seen more of than any of us have.

James White and Joey Graham

Both safer bets with a lot more experience which made keeping Keith around kind of pointless. We never got to see much of him at all but I did notice he’s way, way skinnier than I thought. Personally I’m pulling for White I think he can help us out

jazz

white got to the frree throw line 7 times against utah. he made 10 out of 14. if he can shoot a higher % there will be a roster spot for him.

Gabe Pruitt

Got cut by the Knicks, but was on the Celtics for 2 years as a backup, and seemed to have the potential when playing in previous preseason games. Would prefer to have him as our 3rd point guard than Anthony Carter, hope we get him somehow.

Coach likes him

And he’s cheap so AC’s not going anywhere

AC

I understand that GK likes him, but I don’t quite understand why. I really don’t think AC is good at all; no shot, pretty sloppy, his defense isn’t as good as GK tries to point out etc. I really would rather have Gabe Pruitt on the team, saw him play a few times, and at least he’s still pretty athletic, and has the ability to put up a triple double.

STIFF LIST (as of 1/30 by Jeff Morton)

1. THE ORLANDO MAGIC
After starting the season so well with the Dwight Howard trade drama (10-3) - the Magic have fallen apart (2-5 since) with embarrassing losses to the Celtics (twice), Hornets, and Pacers. Trade Dwight already!

2. CHAUNCEY BILLUPS' FLOP VS. NUGGETS
In the waning seconds of Sunday's game against the Clippers, Chauncey pulled off an acting performance so good it deserved an Academy Award. If he was still a Nugget we would love it, but he's not. STIFF!

3. JIMMER FREDETTE
Dude, if you are going to take the game-winning shot, at least draw some iron: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNO1goJOruQ

4. GEORGE KARL'S 4TH QUARTER AGAINST THE CLIPPERS
Getting out coached by Vinny Del Negro should be a nice wake-up call. Going away from Gallo. Leaving Al Harrington in. Using Rudy Fernandez at point guard. And going ultra small contributed to the Nuggets loss.

5. JEFF MORTON
For saying that the Nuggets would skimp on payroll and go cheap like the Avalanche. Clearly I was wrong and deserve to be on this Stiff List. I can only hope that the gods of basketball forgive me.
