Dave Krieger mentions Denver Stiffs...

When reading my Sunday sports columns today, I was pleasantly surprised to see Denver Post columnist (and one-time Denver Stiffs contributor) Dave Krieger mention this blog in his column on Nuggets head coach George Karl "looking like a keeper." Krieger concludes with what we all believe: Karl must produce in the playoffs to keep his detractors at bay.

Hey Andrew,

Good job. I wanted to say at the time when you wrote the post about GK, but didn't say anything. Being objective is very important, because you have done that. Giving credit when due allow people to take more credibility in your stock.

The defensive philosophy has helped. Myself and many fellow readers are concerned with the rotation at times which seems obvious...and it times doesn't get its wrath until a loss occurs.

I am happy with the season it has been a fun ride, still down to the wire with a tough last game in Portland coming up on the road! So far I like the arrangement for the brackets and our chances in going deep.

The blog gives the fans a place to vent...hopeful people in the organization are read and some accountability is happening.

Take care,

CB

Been reading for quite a while. Posted a few comments anonymously and willing to take the hatin for it. Never saw the big deal with it like some others did. It's not like any of us really know who each other are anyway. Love the website. Actually can't get enough. No suprise Krieger mentioned as this is definitely the best NUGZ website around and the Nuggets just happen to be the hottest sports story in town right now. Keep up the good work Andrew. It is much appreciated.

everyone needs to remember that andrew still owns firegeorgekarl.com. changing from the stiffs back to FGK is as easy as a few keystrokes away...

I'm one of the anon haters. Actually Deez Nuggs I'm happpy you manned up and got a name. It just makes tracking comments and opinions easier. As far as none of us knowing each other, that maybe true...For you. I personally on-line stalk every one of you. So really I know you better than you think. (insert evil laugh here)

Anyway Andrew it is just a matter of time before this blog really takes off. Congrats on your succesful blogging.

Just joking about that stalker bit, that shit is creepy.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
