Camby traded to the Clippers for...a second round option next year?
What the fuck, Denver?
I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe Denver couldn't get anything else for Camby other than a single second round pick. This was a salary dump plain and simple. I know Camby is getting old and has his problems, but he was a huge part of this team.
If Denver expects Nene and Stephen Hunter to fill his shoes, it's going to be a long fucking season.
*sigh*
:(
Bye Camby. Thanks for everything and giving your heart to the team and the community. We'll miss you.
Write respectfully of your SB Nation community and yourself.

wow...
I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one who had these EXACT same thoughts when I found out…..
How can we trade such a key part of our team, and get nothing in return?? If we didn’t think a first-round pick would help us this year, what makes you think a second rounder next year will be any different??
I’m just so confused on what our GM, and anyone else who makes the personnel decisions is thinking…. this is frustrating!!!
MELO!!!
DAMN
This Is Horrible! Camby For A SWAP? Out Of Everything To Cut Cost It Had To Be The One Who PLAYED Defense. Nobody Can Replace Him But Thats What Happeneds When You Put A Superstar Team That Doesnt Produce And Add Money. They Spent A Shyt Load Of Money And This Is Terrible Because Even At 35 He Was One Of The Biggest Presence On The Floor At All Times… Might As Well Start The Big Ass Overhaul On The Team Because What Could We Do Now?
"Going To Be An Interesting Year"
Interesting
I’ll admit, I am no Camby fan. Not by a long shot. I have wanted him traded for the last 2 off seasons, but to only get a 2nd round swap out of this completely baffles me. Either this is strictly a cost cut move, or the Nuggets FO has something up their sleeve not apparent to anybody right now. I will reserve judgement until October rolls around; although our FO has done nothing to inspire me so far.
dont forget
Denver also gets the 10 mill trade exemption that could work wonders before next years draft. I think its a good deal for an injury prone 35 y/o center. Plus when was the last time the Clips ever made a good trade?

Chandler for Brand
Jaric for Cassell
Maggette for Baron Davis
What if the Nuggets don’t intend to use that exemption? There is a reason the Nets didn’t get him…
Get me BD and 75 and I'm in
I see denver using it next season
around the draft. Its a win-win. A 35 y/o center who breaks down and cost too much money. Plus this will also help to (hopefully) lock up JR Smith long term

So you believe the Nuggets intend to continue to pay the luxury tax then?
Get me BD and 75 and I'm in
they will below
it, dont forget they have expiring contract in AI and AC. If AI comes back it will be at areduced salary. No I dont think they will be paying a luxury tax. Thats why they wont use the exception until the season is over

From what I've heard
The actual trade is Camby for a swap of 2nd round picks in 2010. That’s what I’ve read in several places.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on
