Looking good so far...

I just finished watching the first half of the Nuggets/Spurs and we're looking good...damn good. If Carmelo knew how to run a fast break we'd be up by even more.

Anyway, I'm taking off for a business event and a late dinner, so I'll be watching the second half on record later. Let's hope the Nuggets keep up the tempo in the second half...

I am not going to hype up this win to be something huge but it was a solid team effort.

We will see if Nuggets do well against the Lakers and avenge the home opener beat.

Looking good. Yeah it's not the champion spurs but still the win was in loud & proud house and the Nuggets showed up to play. I'm telling you all here, CB is making a big difference. Here's hoping it stays that way & things don't get stale.

interesting Fact: nuggets held the opposition 90 or below only 6 times all last year. in the CB's 8 games here we are already at 5 games of holding teams to 90 or less. PG really does dictate the defense.

The points per game is great, but a lot of that is the slower pace that the Nuggs are playing at this year, its not all on Chauncey playing D. It's team wide better D since everyone has to step up because there isn't a safety blanket (read Marcus Camby) behind them.

Good win against the Spurs, games wasn't as close as the final score and the Nuggets continue to beat teams they should be beating, and handily at that.

Lakers game should be a good test/measuring stick. Hopefully George doesn't decide that it would be a good time to go REALLY small and keeps Nene or Kmart on the floor all game. The Spurs mini run to start the 4th quarter happened with no bigs on the court and stopped as soon as Nene came back in. That can't happen in LA on Friday.

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
