Nuggets tickets pre-sale info...

A few Denver Stiffs readers have written to me in the last week or so asking for clarification on the Nuggets season ticket pre-sale situation. So I called the Nuggets ticket office today, and here's the gist of it.

If you're signed up for the Nuggets newsletter, you'll get an email this Friday (the 10th) about getting pre-sale season tickets - i.e. priority over everyone else whom the tickets will be made available on Saturday (the 11th).

Of course, this assumes you actually have any money left in your bank account (and your bank exists, for that matter) and are willing to spend it on the Nuggets.

ROFL at the last paragraph, it's all true hahaha.

If your bank account exists, and IF you wanna spend it on the Nuggets. Pretty sure most wouldn't even IF their bank accounts did exist.

I'm one of the few who wants in, and e-mailed the site about it. Thanks for the work here Andrew. I'm an out-of-towner, and I'll only be in Denver for 1 game this year, and no matter how bad we are, I'm going!

I think that most tickets will be available at well below face value this year. Should you be interested in seeing a game or two, I think showing up around game time with 40 bucks or so should be enough to get you a couple decent seats.

Hey, a question 4 you all, now as you probably know by now I live in Australia, and I was wondering, how much is it to get into a game, and I know it depends on the seat... But you get my idea. In your dollars not AUD please... Thanks :)

Jack, I am not the one to answer you really because I have only been to a few games but last year I went to the Suns vs Nuggets game in Phoenix and sat at centercourt about 15 rows up and it was about $200. That would be the game the Nuggets got blown out by like 40. It was bittersweet to say the least.

In these economic times, who in the hell wants to pay to watch the product known as the Nuggets? I can watch selfish basketball at home. And this is from a cat who regularly bought packages plus another twenty games ad hoc. I gave my tix away last year because I was tired of watching that shit they called basketball. And now that the Nuggets management has behaved the same way Congress has, i.e. doing things against the will of the People, why should they get our money? Fuck 'em.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
