Do we really want this guy on the Nuggets?...

Only Ruben "The Babysitter Raper" Patterson could get a technical foul in a preseason game, thus sending last night's game into overtime.

But hey, at least the Nuggets beat the Jazz, right?

Patterson is obviously highly problematic as a human being, but if we could somehow ignore that, I'd indeed want him on my squad at minimum salary.

i pray to god every night that this guy doesn't make the team.

I don't really want him on the team. Sets a bad example for the kids. Although he does bring good hustle.

But even if he does, will he get much game time? Iverson, Anthony, Smith, Klieza will eat up most of the minutes at 2 & 3. Balkman would probably be ahead of him at the 3 too. And maybe even Jones at SG, seeing as he has been starting preseason games.

I would normally agree with this statement, but when the human being factor affects the outcome of the game, then we have a problem. I can't see any way that this guy makes the team after that incident vs. the Jazz.

ey andrew i think you gota change your stiff list again...

STIFF #3: Ruben Patterson
-After yelling at Karl in a playoff series, has the audacity to return to Denver and then nearly lose a game for the team for yelling at the referees.

Meh. Ruben is a headcase on the court, but lots of useful players are that way.

If we could somehow blind ourselves to his non-basketball activities, I think he brings many more positives on-court than negatives.

I watched quite a few games when he was on Milwaukee the year before last, and the guy was really bringing it on a consistent basis on both ends of the floor. If age has been reasonably kind to him, (he's 33yo now), I think he can be a contributor on a winning team.

I think Ruben prefers "Nanny Raper." Just sayin.

I get Ruben and Reggie Evans mixed up from that trade we made for them a while ago. Wasn't Ruben the one who fondled Chris Kaman in the playoffs a few years back?

hahhaha nah man that was reggie evans... as chuck put it... "got his hand stuck in the cookie jar"

he likes to grab mens balls, so not really Nugget material if you ask me. This dude is fucked in the head!

Well, if Patterson can bring some hustle and energy back (which is missing since Eduardo got traded) i'd say go for it. That technical was useless but watch this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f90EynXsA0Y

if he does this 82 games off the bench !

god i was at that game when reggie grabbed kaman's balls. i never saw the squeeze and thought kaman just shoved evans for no reason. then i went home and saw the replay. oh, and just say no to ruben patterson.

I personally would rather have Shaun Livingston, too bad he's in the Heat.

Perhaps no one will see this, but Darius Miles was cut by Boston. Worth a look a Denver? Only 26 and Portland have to pay him nearly $10M I think.

Essentially a free pick-up, so even if he can't make a real come-back, no money spent. And not a rapist.

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
