The Denver Post on Denver Stiffs...

I spoke in length yesterday with the Denver Post's Nick Groke about what a true Stiff is. You can read the full article here in which I kick off my campaign to be the Nuggets next GM.

Many thanks to Nick for including me in his article today. I'm happy to talk about Stiffs any day of the week.

Happy Halloween everyone and Go Nuggets!

Forgive me if I offend, Andrew, and please know that I love this blog, but I hope to God you never become Nuggets GM.

That's not a vote of confidence for the current 3-headed E. Stanley Kroenke Crony Monster, it's a mere assertion that your talents as a blogger and organizer of Nuggets Flabbergasted Faithful do not translate into an NBA managerial guru. Please keep your fingers on the keyboard and your feet on the ground.

Andrew, you really need to send George Karl's lawyer a fruit basket every time you get press regarding the Nuggets.

Fair is fair...

k-mart taking stupid jumpshots and nene can't get going because of fouls

outside of a foul problem nene is a beast out there. gotta cut down on the fouls though. it's refreshing to see someone playing aggresive D but when it lands you on the bench it can be a bit of a problem. oooh nice follow-up by the birdman. down 8 after 3. yuck.

why didn't balkman play any friggen minutes??? george karl really confuses me sometimes.

props to anthony carter. everyone got on his back after a poor performance in the 4th quarter against utah. but he played well today.

props to george karl for trusting JR smith in the last quarter and OT. he really made some big plays for the team not only for himself but for others too.

and kmart. man that dual with tim thomas was entertaining. glad he won it. and that three at the end of the game. i couldn't watch hahah

we caught a break with the shot clock thing and nene. karma i guess. cos last game we didn't get any calls our way!

AI is a superstar. nuff said.

go nugs! melo and balkman fresh for kobe and the lakers. lets do this!

Man, so many fucking heroes down the stretch.

Nene had a monster game. (Though I worry about foul trouble being a chronic problem for him.)

Bubbachuck finally realized the season had started midway through the 3rd quarter of the 2nd game of the season and that he ought to go be Bubbachuck.

J.R. delivered.

Linas got the job done at the end of regulation.

Dahntay Jones did a credible Corey Maggette imitation. (Though his defense really makes me cringe.)

A.C. drew a crucial offensive foul on Cat Mobley near the end of regulation.

And finally, it's the K-Mart vs TT show for your ballgame!

-----

"why didn't balkman play any friggen minutes?"

I'd give Balkman all of Birdman's minutes. Anderson looks consistently overmatched to me.

And check out last night's +/-. It's all about what you'd expect, but check out the eye popping plus for Nene and the eye popping minus for Anderson.

Balkman is problematic, but at least he brings something. Anderson brings close to nothing.

"and kmart. man that dual with tim thomas was entertaining."

They have bad blood from a Knicks/Nets playoff series. Injuries and insults. IIRC, K-Mart kicked his ass, and TT whined.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
