Around SBN: Will Rhymes 'Fine' After Being Hit By Pitch And Fainting

[UPDATED] Your Olympic basketball schedule (in Mountain Time!)...

[UPDATED] I just found out that the times I originally posted below were based on Eastern Time only (I deducted two hours for Mountain Time). Apparently a lot of events are being broadcast live on the East Coast, but not necessarily live in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.

So here is a revised easy-to-follow TV schedule for LIVE men's basketball at the Beijing Olympic Games. If you want to see the exact times for yourself, visit NBCOlympics.com. Set your DVRs and TiVos!

Sunday, August 10th - 8:15am (NBCOlympics.com)
USA vs. China
(Note: The game will be on delay at 9am on NBC TV)

Tuesday, August 12th - 6:00am (NBCOlympics.com)
USA vs. Angola
(Note: The game will also be on the USA network sometime after 6am)

Thursday, August 14th - 6:00am (NBCOlympics.com)
USA vs. Greece
(Note: The game will also be on the USA network sometime after 4:30am)

Saturday, August 16th - 8:15am (NBCOlympics.com)
USA vs. Spain
(Note: The game will also be on delay at 9am on NBC TV)

Monday, August 18th - 6:00am (NBCOlympics.com)
USA vs. Germany
(Note: The game will also be on the USA network beginning sometime after 6am)

Croatia plays Argentina on the 14th and The US plays Germany on the 18th. I'm pretty sure when we play Angola and Greece (not TBD) those games are on at 6 a.m. Same with the game with Germany, the Quarters are at 8 a.m. (assuming USA wins their pool) as well as the semis, and the finals would be at 12:30 am, but thats just when they are played, i don't know if they are going to air the games live.

Also some other good games to keep an eye on: Aug 10th Spain vs. Greece , Aug. 14th Spain vs. Germany , Aug. 18th Argentina vs. Russia. And it is also quite possible the US ends up playing Lithuania in the quarterfinals, pitting melo against Linas

"]Since it's a total pain in the ass to find an easy-to-follow TV schedule for men's basketball at the Beijing Olympic Games"

The best webpage I've found for the Basketball schedule is this one. You can drill down to your time zone and to basketball only.

Things indeed kick off at midnight Sunday MDT with Spain vs Greece, which ought to be good.

The mens team is quite vulnerable, though I don't know if anyone has the personnel to take them down.

Too many superstars. Not enough role players.

If they don't take the gold, it'll be because of the lack of a couple of James Posey-style veteran role players. I'm not sure they can actually run a half-court offense against a decent team - I don't think they have a post game.

And if they do take the gold, it'll be because Dwyane Wade won't be denied.

Dude is unstoppable when surrounded with other good players.

If I were Colangelo, I'd have sent Carmelo, Dwight Howard, and CP3 home and picked up some versatile non-superstars. Carmelo is just a poor man's LBJ, and Howard is kinda useless in the FIBA game.

I'd play Bosh 30mpg and get him touches down low.

And off-topic, but in the odd chance that there are some other Philly fans via the Iverson hegira, the Sixers are going to play a final game in the Spectrum next March before it gets torn down.

Woo-hoo! Good nostalgia.

Am I the only avid fan of this site who could care less about the Olympics?

I wanted to note that the Clips just signed "White Chocolate" Jason Williams, meaning they are virtually assured of NOT resigning Shaun Livingston at a reduced rate... so maybe we will take a flyer there...

Anyway, I guess I will be back once the Oly's are over... bye now.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
