Ty Lawson stands up George Karl...

When you have a job interview, one of the keys to getting the job is to, you know, show up for the interview. Apparently this protocol has been lost on potential Nuggets' draftee Ty Lawson, who stood up head coach George Karl for Sunday's workout.

And here I thought the Nuggets were getting yet another undersized point guard to join Anthony Carter and Taurean Green.

RMN reported that he missed the work out due to charges for DUI. Insert Melo joke here.

They went on to point out the Mario Chalmers and 3 other PGs worked out yesterday.

Strange that we'd draft yet another PG when Karl never trusted Taurean (who also won an NCAA championship) to play any meaningful minutes last year. I thought the Nugs would draft a big to help replace Camby in the rotation. And if we can get a PG in return for Camby, why draft another?

taurean and now people want ty? draft a good big. should have kept leon powe. no idea why we gave him up.

cant blame ty for dogging coach karl. he probably knows he's a dud coach too

I hope to God we move up and not draft another diminutive PG. Ty would be an awful pick because although he has speed he doesn't have enough skills to finish around big men in the paint. That's in college, and it will only get tougher in the L.

I hope we move up and draft the phenom Russell Westbrook. He's a longer version of Dwyane Wade. The Heat took Dwyane and told him to play PG in his first couple of months of his rookie year and he fit in seamlessly. That's the type of thing we can tell Russell to do. I hope and dream we get him somehow. I believe he's skilled enough to be one day a franchise player and have a individual rivalry with Derrick Rose.

But going back to reality, drafting Ty Lawson is lame. I would take Mario Chalmers 100 times out of 100 chances over him.

Ha trade K-mart and Nene for a pick, it would work except as andrew pointed out earlier this week, isiah thomas isn't a gm anymore. Lawson would be a horrible pick, take a big, take hibbert, trade camby.

I am one who is totally agaist trades. They really dont fix the type of problems we Nuggets have but drafting well can change things for the future. Drafting "Law"son would be a huge mistake. Obviously he isnt focused on bball plus he is too small and frankly I don't see what the big deal is about this guy. If the Nuggets had any sort of brain power they would draft guys with heart like Chalmers and Steph Curry in order to try and change the attitude of the team in the future. Draft well and you won't need to make trades.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
