FireGeorgeKarl Fan/Hate Mail debut...

Since launching this site, I've been inundated with emails and comments. While I couldn't possibly respond to them all, I've posted a sampling of what my readers seem to care about the most - with my responses - here. Please note that I've filed this post as an archived page in the back of this blog so it doesn't push the other content off the homepage.

I welcome further comments and feedback, and want to thank my readers for following this blog so closely and passionately!

Hello. Karl is pretty good and experienced coach. I think they should keep him.

SnakefromHell checks in,

This blog is one of the best maintained blogs. I enjoy this very much. Thanks.

^And to the poster above me, please do not post boring comments because we can tell he's "pretty good and experienced" from his resume. But if "pretty good and experienced" barely get us to the playoffs with possibly the most talented roster in the L, then something needs a change, don't you think?

Please don't just read stats and resumes. Observe and have your own opinions.

what's amazing is the incompetence of the ENTIRE nuggets coaching staff. how come at halftime of EVERY game adrian dantley says they've got to improve on transition defense. EVERY game. how come they NEVER improve on this?

George Karl sucks! How come he never calls timeout to stop other teams runs until the Nugs are down 20! can we please get some half-Court offense? The Nuggets just don't want it right now and it starts with the coach!

I think it's time for Karl to go. He has the most talented team and we're 2 games out of the playoffs at this point. The Nugs don't play with any passion. They just go thru the motions. It all comes down to coaching and getting your team ready to play each and every game. Come on Nugs get some heart out there.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
